This quote is over 100 years old, from a time when teenagers were middle-aged, indoor plumbing was a flex, and the phrase “female athlete” was, to many, an oxymoron. Yet a century later, the truth remains the same: big things happen fast.

The 2024 WNBA season was just 16 weeks long. But in those 16 weeks, decades happened. The mythology of the past combined with the insurgency of the present; legends of the league bestowed their inheritance to a new generation of ballers; and all of that - plus some magic, otherworldly spark - inspired nothing less than a cultural revolution.

How many more times will you watch the full moon rise? Perhaps 20. How many more times will you be consumed by true love? Probably even less.

And how many more seasons will you remember like this one? Ten years from now, twenty years from now - how many more stories will you remember like these?
